Product Description
Barhi dates are a unique and highly versatile Saudi variety that can be consumed at two distinct stages of ripeness. In their fresh yellow (Khalal) stage, they have a crispy texture and sweet-tangy flavour. When fully ripened to a soft amber-brown (Rutab/Tamr) stage, they become intensely sweet, syrupy and almost caramel-like. Grown in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, Barhi dates are popular in Gulf markets and increasingly in demand across European and North American specialty food retailers.
